High 5 Casino Leads Facebook Casino Genre in Engagement Rate and ARPU

H5G’s Social Casino Continues to Set Performance Records

When High 5 Games launched its social casino in late 2012, the company assumed that it would take a while for the product to find its footing. But just three months later, High 5 Casino already boasted more than 1 million monthly active players. Now, midway through 2013, High 5 Casino finds itself leading the Facebook casino genre in two critical categories.

High 5 Games, the private New York-based casino game creator, announced today that its social casino app has been averaging $0.36 per active daily user with past recent reporting periods reaching as high as $0.44 per active daily user. With a daily user base approaching 500,000 players, this makes High 5 Casino one of the highest grossing apps on Facebook and a leader in the casino genre on the social network.

Just how impressive is High 5 Casino’s ARPDAU? According to a recent report by Eilers Research, the other leaders of the casino genre typically record between $0.10 to $0.25 per daily active user. For a normal social game, the ARPDAU is around $0.03-$0.05. High 5 Casino’s average revenue per daily user has been 9x-12x higher than that rate.

Besides its lofty ARPU numbers, High 5 Casino is perhaps even more notable for its engagement rate. The engagement rate (also known as the sticky factor) measures the engagement of an app’s audience by dividing its total MAU by its total DAU.

High 5 Casino’s engagement rate was recorded at 34.01% on Sunday after spending much of the past two weeks around that ratio. Not only does this engagement rate edge out Slotomania (33.62%) and easily distance itself from social competitors Jackpot Party (30.79%) and DoubleDown (24.72%), it also places above many of the most well-known apps on the social network. On Sunday, High 5 Casino’s sticky factor was higher than Candy Crush Saga, Farmville 2, and Angry Birds Friends, just to name a few.

High 5 Casino is currently only available as a Facebook canvas-only application. High 5 Games expects that the launch of High 5 Casino on mobile later this summer will even further bolster these market-leading figures.
